ALASKA EXTREME ADVENTURES & SAFARIS
Seward Peninsula Spring Grizzly Bear hunt. Unit 22
This hunt takes place in the Bendeleben Mountains where these bears are just exiting their dens after their long winter hibernation. Grizzly
bears on Seward Peninsula are some of the largest grizzly bears in the state. This time of year their fur is long and luxurious, along with
their claws being long and unworn. The bear density in this area is greatly increased because so many bears come from the surrounding
open tundra to the mountains to den every year. There are a high percentage of blond bears, with an eight-foot plus Grizzly bear possible.
The hunt is conducted by snowmobile making it an enjoyable adventure. New machines and top-notch equipment help to insure a
successful and fulfilling experience.
All hunts strictly fair chase wilderness adventures.

Season Dates:
Prince William Sound Brown Bear. Unit 6
This hunt takes place in the scenic fjords of Prince William Sound. Brown bears in Prince William Sound are some of the largest Brown
bears in the state. The bear density in this area is greatly increased because so many bears come down to the isolated beaches to breed or
feed. Large well-furred black bears, Mountain Goats and Sitka Black tail Deer are plentiful and also available. The hunt is conducted by
yacht and zodiac boat making it a safe and enjoyable adventure.
There are daily opportunities to watch the marine mammals in this area to include, Orcas, Humpbacked whales, Sea Lions, Seals, Sea
Otters, and Dolphin. The fishing is also great with Halibut, Ling Cod and bottom fish being available in the spring.
Trophy Moose Hunt In Interior Alaska. Unit 21
This is a true safari as Trophy Moose, Grizzly bear, Black bear, Wolf, and Wolverine are available. Hunting in remote interior Alaska
adjacent to the Koyokuk Trophy Moose area provides an area dense in large trophy class animals. Hunting along a river tends to make
the moose hunting easier and more enjoyable for all hunters. Fishing and small game hunting are also available. Bow hunters are
welcome as shots are commonly close. Especially on rut crazy large bulls.
We provide two different programs, both an eight-day hunt and a ten-day safari. The ten-day hunt is during the peak of the rut when
numerous large bulls come out of the mountains to the river to breed. Bears, wolf and wolverine are available on a trophy fees basis.
Our base camp consists of comfortable individual 10’ X 10’ sleeping tents with cots. Socializing and meals are conducted in large
wall tents. Meals are simple but hearty with hot breakfasts and dinners. Lunches are eaten on the river. There is a sit down toilet
and a hot shower in camp.
Prince William Sound Mountain Goat. Unit 6
This hunt takes place in the scenic fjords of Prince William Sound. Numerous mountain goats live in the alpine meadows above the
beautiful bays and coves. We boat the bays and fjords to the hunting area and leave the yacht behind to climb the slopes to where
the goats live.
Normally this entails at least one overnight camping in the alpine meadows. We usually must climb 2000 to 2500 feet above the tide
line to get to the goats. This is a backpack hunt so the hunter must be in shape. I can hire a packer if you wish to go light and carry
nothing. I often recommend this option so you can maximize your enjoyment on this hunt.
Dall Sheep in the Chugach mountains. Unit 14
Dall sheep hunting in Alaska is a truly memorable Alaskan Adventure. The hunting takes place in the rugged and remote Chugach
Mountains that are known for their massive heavy horned trophy sheep. There is a good density of mature rams in the hunt area.
The sheep are easy to find with the real challenge being gaining access to them. Just being in sheep country is a treat, smelling
the sweet sheep grass, enjoying the sweeping vistas, or seeing many rams on a hunt and determining which are accessible.
This hunt is a rugged backpack hunt with base camp consisting of dome tents and spike camps being small backpacking tents.
Meals will consist of a mixture of freeze-dried and fresh foods. A hunter must be fit enough to walk a minimum of five miles
comfortably in a day. All walking is either up or down the mountains. This is a backpack hunt so the hunter must be in shape.
I can hire a packer if you wish to go light and carry nothing. I often recommend this option so you can maximize your
enjoyment on this hunt.
Caribou Hunt, Equipment Rental (Black bear, Wolf & Wolverine also available) Unit 23
You will be hunting Caribou from the Northwest Arctic herd that is about 400,000 strong. It is possible to see two hundred bulls
in a day, and shots can be close for bow hunters. This is not a guided hunt. It is intended for the hunter who is comfortable
hunting without a guide. I will provide you with the equipment, mobility and some local knowledge. You and your hunting
companions are on your own to enjoy yourselves. There are also black bear, wolf & wolverine common in the area.
You will be hunting these caribou as they cross the river during their annual migration. I have timed this camp to be set up
during the prime time to hunt the largest bulls. Caribou know no schedule, but in most years this has proved to be the best
week. Caribou are a migratory animal and there is no guarantee as to when they will migrate.
